Departments
SPECIAL NOTICE:

Due to recently contracting with the Medina City Fire Department for Medina Township fire services, we reviewed our monetary needs for our safety services and realized that we will have more funds than needed.  We are presently collecting a 2 mil Fire Levy for this purpose.  Therefore we have passed a resolution putting a 1.4 mil Safety Services Levy on the ballot for the November 7, 2017, election.  If the 1.4 mil levy passes, the current 2 mil Fire levy will be reduced to zero “0”, a net savings for Medina Township Taxpayers of .6 mils.

It should be noted; contracting with the Medina City Fire Department has eliminated the need to pass an additional three (3) to five (5) mil fire levy for the construction and equipping of a 3 to 5 million dollar Fire Station and a new $500,000.00 fire truck that the previous Fire Department wanted.  That request did not include the purchase of land for the new fire station.  That is an additional savings for the Medina Township Taxpayer.

IT SHOULD ALSO BE NOTED THAT THE LST AMBULANCE SERVICE IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT LEVY IN ANY WAY AND WILL CONTINUE SERVICE TO MEDINA TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS AS ALWAYS.
